Autumn Leaves

The center block for this 24"x24" wallhanging was made in 1994 for a block challenge at my local quilting guild. I later set the block as a medallion in the center of a maple leaf border. A variety of autumn color prints were used for the leaves and borders. The block background and backing are unbleached muslin. The top, backing and batting are 100% cotton. It is completely machine appliquéd and quilted. The center block is machine appliquéd with a satin stitch and machine quilted in a freehand meandering pattern. The leaf borders were machine outline quilted.
