Hello Ladies;
I’m
Sally, better known in the chat room as HisLady, I live in South Carolina in the
foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. My dear husband and I have been married 35 years
this month and we have 2 sons and 9 grand children, from 12 yrs to 2years. And
grandchild #10 is due Christmas this year. My nick is the title of a book I
was reading; about the time I started chatting, by Bishop TD Jakes, about the
promises of God to women and that we are His Ladies
I’ve
been quilting about 6 years;.My first quilt was for my youngest granddaughter, a blanket stitch appliquéd
Dutch doll. I’m self-taught. A friend showed me the basics and I took it from
there. I was hooked for sure! Because I wanted to learn how to quilt it right, I searched
the Library and the Internet and I found Quiltchat and the greatest bunch of
friends you could ever want .Yes, I fourdqh a whole world of talented quilters
who are always ready
to help out the beginner. I love paper piecing and fusible Appliqué, I hope one
day to learn to do needle turn. I took a class in machine quilting and came
home with a ton of confidence, if nothing else.
This is my queen size Southern Bells and the one that will
finally be mine. It was a UFO for
a while but I’m determined to finish it. It won"t be much longer now.
